Need a Boost?

Let’s be honest—eating disorder recovery as a college student or young adult can feel incredibly isolating. You might look “fine” on the outside while your brain is doing mental gymnastics around food, body, control, and worth.

BOOST is a therapy group for college students and young adults who are tired of white-knuckling recovery alone. This group offers structure, support, and real conversation in a space that’s honest, compassionate, and sprinkled with a little humor.

What is BOOST all about?

BOOST is a therapist-led eating disorder recovery group designed specifically for college students and young adults. It blends psychoeducation, meal support, and nervous system-based coping skills with peer connection and real-life application. You don’t need to have recovery “figured out” to be here. You just need to be willing to show up.

A Recovery Space Without the Pressure to be Perfect

BOOST is grounded in the belief that eating disorders develop for understandable reasons—and recovery works best when shame isn’t running the show. This group focuses on strengthening your healthy self, softening the inner critic, and learning how to respond to eating disorder thoughts with more clarity and compassion.

We take recovery seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

  • What is group really like?

Each session is structured, but not stiff. Expect a mix of learning, conversation, and practical support, including:

Psychoeducation that actually makes sense (no lectures)

Meal support to practice nourishment without doing it alone

Coping skills rooted in nervous system regulation and self-compassion

Mindfulness practices that are realistic (not “just breathe” energy)

Open discussion about urges, setbacks, and wins—without sugarcoating

Humor and real talk, including occasional swearing if that’s your thing

You’re allowed to laugh here. You’re allowed to struggle here. Both can exist at the same time.

  • Who is BOOST for

BOOST may be a good fit if you:

Are a college student or young adult navigating eating disorder recovery

Feel stuck between wanting recovery and wanting control

Are tired of doing this alone

Want support that’s compassionate, honest, and not judgmental

(Readiness and fit will be discussed prior to joining the group.. A pre group assessment is required to determine level of care.)

  • When is it offered?

BOOST is offered via secure telehealth for college students and young adults located in Michigan and Georgia—making it accessible even with busy schedules, classes, or life transitions.

Days and times of group change each rotation depending on members availability

  • What is the investment?

To support safety and appropriate care, all participants complete a pre-group assessment prior to joining.

Pre-group assessment: $100 (one time fee)

    Once enrolled, group sessions are:

    $50 per session

This structure allows us to ensure the group is a supportive and appropriate fit while keeping group therapy accessible.

Participants also receive a custom BOOST workbook designed to support recovery in real life—not just during sessions.

If BOOST sounds like it might be your vibe—or if you’re just curious—I invite you to reach out. We can talk through questions and see if this group feels like a good fit.
