MEET LISA VINCENT, AN EATING DISORDER & TRAUMA THERAPIST
It is time to believe you have better days ahead.
Therapy can help you move out of survival mode and back into your life
As we navigate the twists and turns of daily life, sometimes the weight of our thoughts can feel overwhelming. That’s where therapy comes in, a space to untangle the knots in our mind and seek clarity.
If you’re feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you - especially around food, body image, anxiety, grief, or trauma - you are not broken. You are responding to stress, pain, and experiences that deserve care and compassion.
It is time for you to feel safe, secure, and confident to move forward and shift from survival mode to living your life.
You’re in the right place
I can help you find steadiness in the midst of anxiety, perfectionism, and life’s challenges - and reconnect with the parts of you that are ready to heal and thrive.
I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating eating disorder recovery, chronic stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, and life transitions. Many of my clients are high-achieving, deeply caring people who feel worn down by perfectionism, self-criticism, or an inner critic that never seems too quiet.
I also support caregivers, parents, and healthcare professionals who spend their days holding everything together for others - often at the cost of themselves.
Therapy with me……
Is real, engaging, and nonjudgmental
Is safe, approachable, and supportive to give you the space to be your true self
Feels welcoming and comfortable
Embraces laughter and humor to process those tough feelings
Teaches you new skills to help you understand how to cope with the emotional, mental, and physical symptoms you may be experiencing
My Approach
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in nervous system regulation & self-compassion. Together we slow things down, build safety, and make space to understand why certain patterns developed - without shame or judgement.
Healing isn’t about “fixing” yourself. It’s about strengthening your healthy self, learning to respond to your needs with care, and reconnecting with your values so you can live with more ease and intention.
Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded. I believe healing happens in relationship - when you feel heard, understood, and supported at your own pace. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, tools, and space to explore what’s been heavy, while also helping you build resilience and self-trust.
You deserve support that honors your whole experience. With the right care, it’s possible to feel more grounded, connected, and like yourself again.
When you’re ready, I’d be honored to support you.
My core values
These values guide my work as an eating disorder and trauma therapist serving teens & adults in Michigan & Georgia.
Authenticity & Integrity
I show up as a real, grounded human in the therapy space. Healing happens when you don’t feel like you need to perform, impress, or have it all figured out.
Compassionate Presence
Your experience makes sense in the context of what you’ve lived through. Therapy is a place where shame softens and curiosity replaces self-criticism.
Nervous System-Informed Care
Lasting healing requires safety - both in the therapy relationship and within your nervous system. We focus on regulation, resilience, and restoring a sense of safety in both mind & body.
Relational Connection
Healing happens in relationship. I believe feeling seen, understood, and supported is foundational to meaningful change.
